Scholarships

Thanks to the generosity of the Wallingford Education Foundation’s donors and its fundraising efforts, scholarships are awarded annually to graduating Lyman Hall and/or Sheehan High School students.

Wallingford Education Foundation Scholarship

The Wallingford Education Foundation offers a $2,000 scholarship to Lyman Hall and Sheehan seniors planning to attend a two- or four-year college/university in the fall. The scholarship is based on demonstrated passion for the student’s chosen college major through targeted course work, extra-curricular activities, volunteer efforts, and/or part-time employment. Further details along with the application are posted in Naviance in January. The application deadline is April 1.

William Giordano Memorial Scholarship

In February 2005, the Wallingford Education Foundation (WEF) received a sizeable gift from the Estate of William Giordano, Sr. for the purpose of providing a scholarship to graduating seniors from Lyman Hall and Sheehan High Schools. Two scholarships are awarded each year to a student of Italian descent who is bound for college or university. The recipient of this scholarship must also demonstrate a need for financial assistance and has been of service to both the school and community. This scholarship is funded by the WEF and administered by the Wallingford Public Schools. Further information is available in Naviance.
